Our tree is finally up!

I took the day off fr0m work today, and was able to catch up on a few things...blog, laundry, and most importantly, I was able to get the Christmas tree up. Yay!! That's not to say that I got all my Christmas decorations up and all my trees decorated, but I did manage to get the living room tree and Emily's tree up. It is starting to feel like Christmas around here. I also managed to get the presents that we have in the house, wrapped, so we are caught up on that for now.

Our living room tree...somehow seems more special this year with Emily here.

Today, I had a knock on the door, and it was the florist delivering me an arrangement. Rich and Emily sent it to me as a "Just Because". The poinsettia is from Emily and the single rose in it is from Rich. It was a really nice surprise. (the pic doesn't give it justice)

It is definitely not done. We need a few more ornaments and we definitely need a tree skirt. I am looking for a tutu or similar for the skirt. It has a princess/ballerina theme going on.

Every little girl needs a little marabou, too!
