Rich's birthday was May 20th...Happy Birthday Rich! :)
Anyway, when I was growing up, birthdays were a big deal and I really can't remember a year that I didn't have tons of friends and family at my birthday party. We didn't just celebrate our day, we got a week!
I have tried to carry this type of celebration over into my own family.
During Rich's birthday week, we went out and had a steak dinner ( I hate steak, so we don't go often) and I gave him a bike and a couple of shirts...etc etc. We planned a few activities. One of those, was we took the family to see a Naturals game. It was Emily's first game in the stadium, however, her first time there, if you remember, was to see Willie Nelson in concert when she was an infant, for my company function.
We had a really good time this weekend and it was fun watching Emily take in all the sights!
They have a mascot, Strike, who is a Saskatchewan or whatever. Emily had a really good time hunting for him, because he was usually running all over the stadium.

They have a children's area behind the outfield with swings and a nice play set. This was probably her favorite part!
