What a mess!

Okay, I must preface this by saying, I don't like a messy baby...ever! Maybe that makes me a little OCD or crazy at times, but it is the truth. I will go to great lengths to make sure she stays clean. I finally gave in one day, and let Emily just go at it. I know it is time for her to start experimenting with food textures and begin feeding herself. I let loose on Friday and Emily had a blast!!! She is constantly grabbing for the spoon, so I know she is curious and wants to take the next step...our next step was to put food on her tray and let her play....Peaches!! Her fav!!

did I mention that Emily had a blast??? :)

Ya, this i where I started to cringe....it was in her hair, on her face (cheeks, etc) all down her arms, elbows, shirt...I will have to move past this, I know, it is only going to get worse from here before it gets better


After a while, it was time for a bath, which came a bit earlier this night than normal. I usually take care of Emily's feedings in her chair, and Rich is the bath giver. We both just enjoy the specific jobs more. It works out nicely! (We both do bottle feedings, though)

I thought this was a cute pic, because Daddy was teaching Emily how he gets her bath ready. She was so attentive! Watching every detail he showed her.

Oh I almost forgot, Emily is drinking out of a big girl cup now. She doesn't really care for the sippy cup, so we just took the lid off, and she drinks out of it that way. She loves it! It was a bit messy at first, of course, but now, she primarily gets every bit of it in her mouth. What a big girl!

She's definitely not a baby anymore....
