Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch

Lets see, two weeks ago or so, we drove to Missouri for a Starkey family fun day. Last year, while we were in New Jersey, we went to a pumpkin patch with Emily. It was a lot of fun!! We tried to find somewhere that was half as fun as that one. I heard about this one in Missouri last year, but we just didn't have time. This year, we set aside a weekend, and went. It was very inexpensive and lots of fun. We packed a picnic lunch and we were off. It started out as a cold morning, but by the afternoon, it was a perfect day for being outside. It even got a little warm in the sun. Emily had a blast and crashed after we left. Here's our adventure in Missouri.

They had a big barn that you walk through which was the entrance to the P Patch. One either side of the entrance there were doors. One was an educational room that told about the arrowheads, caves, etc that were found on the property and the other was a "zoo". We made sure to stop there first. Emily stood in front of each of the animals and said their name and their sound by herself. It was so cute!
Here she is with the chicken
Look at her little red nose. It was cooollld!
Sheep...baaaaaaa

There were other farm animals. Emily liked watching the pigs play.

Sweet pic of a sweet little girl

There is an area that is a corn box, similar to that of a sand box instead it is filled with corn. Emily loved the way it felt. She played in that thing for a while.

Just taking in the sights.

They had an area where these slides were built into the ground. There were two different types. This one, Emily went down by herself sitting on a burlap sack I think. She had a ball!

The other one was a set of rollers that you went down on a plank of wood. It was really fast, so dad did this one with her.
I don't know if she knew exactly what to think of that one at first...you blink, and you're at the bottom....whoa daddy!!!
Our little muffin exploring

as usual, I can't fit it all on one post...more to come!
