Another week in our lives!

This past week has been a busy one, it seems. It was my first full week back at work and Rich's first week at J.B. Hunt. Emily has yet to spend a full week at school, but I'm sure she'll get there soon! As I said in an earlier post, we got Emily's 3 month pictures taken this past weekend. They turned out great, and if I get a chance later, I'll post some! Emily has turned into a fish out of water, and is turning all over the place. She is primarily going from her back to her tummy, which I was under the impression, was harder to do. For some reason, that is easier and more comfortable for her, although she does the other too. We have moved on to the number 2 nipple like I said we were going to try, and it seems she doesn't know the difference. She has taken to it just fine. She is FINALLY sprouting a few hairs on the top of her head, but I am sure they will fall out soon or something. She is destined to be bald till she's five!

As most of you probably figured out already, the Arkansas/Texas game was cancelled and postponed until the 27th. Therefore, so was our party. The downside is, is that is the same weekend as Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville (a huge bike rally with music and food). It is a pretty good time down on Dickson St. Since that is going on, we might end up not having a party at all... :( That means that I will have to have one for Christmas!

I have some exciting news in my family this week. I have failed to mention earlier, but we found out that one of my girl cousins is pregnant...with twins!!! We found that out a few weeks ago...and then we found out they are identical....and then just this week, we found out they are girls! Yay! Em will have more cousins to grow up with! The downfall to all of this, is that they are sharing one placenta and so far, there is no evidence of a membrane separating them. This puts them at extremely high risk. They are afraid that her cervix may strangle them, or potentially, each other's umbilical cord. At 24 weeks, she is going to be put under extreme observation, and they are going to be doing ultrasounds twice a day until she delivers. There is a possibility of hospitalization until she delivers, as well. They plan to take the babies by C-section at 34 weeks. Please keep my cousin Lynn and her husband Dan and the baby girls in your thoughts and prayers. This is going to be a long, curvy road for them, but a rewarding one in the end. I pray all goes well for them.

For those of you in the path of Ike, we pray for your safety. Please let us know that you are okay as the storm passes over you. We are expecting lots of rain as well. They have given it a 110% chance of rain! (Gee I wonder if it will rain or not!!)

Okay, I think I have caught everyone up on this past week...with that said, I have posted some pics of Emily...(You know that's the only reason you read this anyway!)
Look how good she does in her Bumbo now!

Emily petting Trigger..and as usual, Trigger licking Emily!
She does so good at getting that head up now.

So innocent

Emily got a chance to sit in her highchair for the first time this past week while Rich and I made dinner. She seemed to like being up close with all the action.

She looks so little in her highchair. Probably the only thing she looks little in ! :)Rich got a kick out of how serious Emily looked sitting on the couch. He had to take a pic of her.

There's the real baby! Always smiling!
