Today we tried rice cereal for the first time...it went okay. Emily was very unsure of what the heck was going on. She did okay at first, but got a little fussy. I think she was too hungry when we tried it. It wasn't satisfying her fast enough. We are going to continue to try it everyday until she has it mastered. We ended up putting the rest of it into the bottle. She passed out pretty quickly. I hear her awake again now, but I can see how much that filled her up.

We both had a try at feeding her. It was a riot!We took a video of her trying it for the first time. She kept wiping her face in between feedings..good girl. Mommy likes a clean baby!

I almost forgot to mention that she is on the verge of crawling, at least it appears that way. She started getting her knees up under her and lifting herself. Of course every time we tried to take a pic of her, she would move them. We found her in her crib just now, as a matter of fact, scooting around. She is trying so hard. She is getting frustrated that she can't move on her own, so I think it's only a matter of time! I can't wait! My big girl!
I can't blaim the girl for not being sure of it, rice cereal is not the best! Madie never would eat it, her doctor said not a biggy a lot of kids won't. Maybe she will get the hang of it pretty soon though. She is growing so fast and you will have your hands full when she starts crawling!!
ReplyDeletePretty cute pictures of Emily eating her cereal. It took Avery a little while to get the hang of it all...now she can't get enough of it! Making baby food is super easy and very cheap...I would love to tell you more about it and give you some recipes. There is a website that I use to get a lot of my info. I am going to try and call you soon...I miss you!!
