Dr update

Just a quick update on my visit with my neurologist yesterday. The good news is, is that he didn't see any change in my MRI, as far as lesions go and I am thrilled about that! The not so good news, is that, I had a twitch in my right index finger all day yesterday and I asked him about it, and after a few in office tests, he thinks it is a mild seize. He said, typically, when people think of a seizure, they think of someone on the floor, convulsing. That form of seizing is much more rare. He wanted to put me on seizure medicine, but I really wanted to see some more evidence...who am I to second guess a neurologist???? I don't know.... Anyway, he is scheduling me for an EEG which is similar to an EKG, instead of being hooked up to your chest and testing for heart arrhythmia's, this test is hooked up to your head and tests for irregular brain waves. The test will take about an hour. He went ahead and wrote me a Rx for seizure medicine, so I would have it on hand if I needed it. Sometimes little seizures can simply go away for a while and not cause much problems, or they can intensify and turn into full blow convulsions. I think he wanted us to be on the safe side, is why he gave me the Rx to have on hand. Good news is, is that when I woke up this morning, my finger is calm. Hopefully, it has passed. I will let everyone know how the test goes, just as soon as I find something out.

  1. You have the right to question the MD; they know drugs, not you quality of life...keep questioning him
