Join me for a Cure!!!

As some of you may have noticed, I have a new button attached to my blog. It is on the right side of my screen, and it is for the MS walk in Fort Worth, TX. I will start out by saying, that I had this entire blog post ready to post, and before I did, I read my friend April's blog, and ended up in tears. I deemed mine not worthy and have started over from scratch. I wish you could see my friend's blog page and read this particular post. Why did I end up in tears...? Well, about a week ago, now, my friend April contacted me, and said she had heard of a MS walk in her area. She said she thought of me and if I was interested, she wanted to do this with me. For someone to think of me, first of all, and then want to give of their time, for me, just blows me away!!

April wrote all these really nice things about me, our friendship and our families. I really wanted to just copy her whole post and share her thoughts with the world, but I will leave those as her thoughts and just post some of mine. I do, however, want to post some of the pics that she has on her page of us...

This is us in grade school on Halloween (ya, I have the "red" spray painted hair sitting down and she is to my right)
At my bachelorette party

At her baby shower. Obviously, we were prego at the same time,(not planned) and Avery and Emily are like 2 months apart. They will be participating in the walk as well!!

There is no way I could turn down a chance to walk for a cure, so we are headed to TX the weekend of March, 28th. This is my first walk to cure MS and we are thrilled to be traveling to TX to see them next month and I am also thrilled about the walk. Everyone knows someone who has an illness, life-threatening or chronic...I just happened to be that person this time. It appears that my post has turned into a "meet my friend" post, but I want the world to know, that there are still good people out there, people like April, who are willing to give of themselves for others. I thank God for our friendship and your support.
I have registered as a walker and am now looking for people to sponsor me on my walk. My biggest fear, is that Emily or any of our other children will also suffer with MS. It is so important to me now, that we find a cure for MS. 25 years from now, Emily could be having her own first child, and could be devastated with the same heartbreaking news, that she now has MS. But in 25 years, we could find a cure.... I am not soliciting for money, only asking for a miracle.

Let's find a cure!
