Update on our Baby Girl

Emily showing off her puffy vest and hat
So cute!!!
Emily is growing so fast and already well into her 8th month...crazy!! We have had a ton of changes these past few weeks, so bare with me if you've already heard them, or if I have already previously mentioned them. Let's see, Emily is getting 3 more teeth right now. Her two front top teeth, and the tooth to the right of the top two are coming in. We have been dealing with drainage again because of it, and she is on another round of antibiotics again for an ear infection and eye infection. She has started pulling up...everywhere she can get a chance to, she does. She now crawls and boy does she get around. She is a mess and we are constantly chasing her down. It's like she's been doing this forever. She has started feeding herself and refuses to eat from a spoon now. She really prefers that she feed herself. If you allow her to hold the spoon, then she will eat. She is already acting so independent, but considering her parents, again, I don't' know why I am even surprised!!! She loves yogurt, specifically yogurt melts and just goes crazy for them. She still hates sippy cups and would rather drink out of a regular cup. She has been making lots of new sounds and noises. She definitely knows her name without a doubt and for the most part, knows when she is doing something she shouldn't be doing...she giggles. She finally started holding her own bottle, but would prefer if you just held it for her...Rich calls it being smart. (She knows that you will do it, so why do it, when it is already being done for her) She waves from time to time now and claps her hands when she likes something. She is just a mess, but a fantastic, wonderful mess.

This is how we find her often. She falls asleep bent in half. We eventually flip her back.

I have been working on letting loose lately and letting her get messy. I almost have no choice lately because of the whole feeding herself thing. I have created a monster....!!!!!
A very very cute monster
Emily licking a bowl of sweet potatoes?? I don't remember for sure.
Enough said
Silly baby

All in all, she is so fantastic. Priceless.
FYI, I have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow on my brain. I haven't had one since I started my injections, so they are checking things out. I see my neurologist on Monday to get the results. I'll fill you in when I find something out.
Oh ya, I am going to be an aunt again!!! Rich's sister is having baby number 2 and we couldn't be more thrilled! Baby is expected sometime around Sept 4th. YAY!!!!

  1. I think Emily gets cuter all the time! I hope everything goes well with your check up and MRI.
