A day at the zoo in Tulsa, OK

During Memorial Weekend, our family took a trip to Tulsa, OK to take Emily to her first zoo experience. From what I saw, she had a blast! She loves animals in general, so we assumed that she would really enjoy herself. It was a really nice day, sunny and warm-around 86 degrees. I managed to get my first sunburn of the year! We ran into some friends of ours there too, and their twin boys...small world!
At the zoo in Tulsa, they have a children's area that the kids are allowed to get into and play with the animals. This had to be Emily's favorite part.
Here she is with the goats. (This wasn't our first visit, but I thought it was a great picture to start out with. The lady that was standing next to me when I took the picture loved it too!

Emily found the goat that was hiding from everyone.

What a sweet baby goat.

Okay, so I am skipping around a bit, but here is actually the first pic of the day. Emily was checking out one of daddy's favorite animals, the Bald Eagle.

This picture is really funny because of the look on Emily's face...she was too into watching the bears walk around then taking a picture. Good pic of Rich though!

Okay, so I'm back to the goats again..Emily petting the goats, me baking in the sun.
Here is a crazy billy goat. Nice beard...

Daddy and Emily after checking out the rabbits....there was this rabbit named Muffin that looked like it swallowed a small dog..maybe Trigger. They should call it like Cake or something, because that thing was no muffin!!!!

In the Rainforest, there were animals that walked around or hung around and stayed to themselves pretty much. There was this monkey/?? thing that really found an interest in Emily. It jumped down a few branches to get a good look at her,

It was close enough to touch. Rich was afraid that it was going to jump at Emily, so he kept his hand extended out in front of her, just in case. It did have a weird look on it's face.

So, as usual, I can't post it all in one post, so stay tuned to the second part!
