So, lately, there really hasn't been a lot going on. We have been kinda taking it easy, re cooperating from all the trips we took in March and April. Today is Emily's 11 month birthday. It's so hard to believe how fast the time has flown by! Emily is such a joy to be around. She always has a smile on her face and can brighten any bad day. She is developing more and more into a kid. Emily is drinking solely from a sippie now, and we have packed all of her bottles up for the next baby... She knows the difference between right and wrong. When she knows she's doing something that she shouldn't be doing, she cuts her eyes back at you and grins. What a mess!! As soon as you get up to remove her from the situation, she runs off laughing. She also knows "no" and "yes" and will nod her head or shake it. It is really cute. She has started tilting her head back to laugh when something is really funny..it's cute! She has started chasing Trigger around the house. She, for the most part, keeps her distance from Lucky. He doesn't really care if she is here or not. She has started bringing you things and wants you to say "thank you", and then she laughs and goes and gets more. (even if that is something she is not supposed to have) She now leans out of her high chair to reach the dogs and purposely feeds them...laughing again! More like, squealing! She got two more teeth in the past week, on the top next to her incisors and now she has eight! With that said, she has really mastered using her teeth to bite off pieces of food and chew. One more month until her one year birthday......where did the time go?
Emily really likes baskets....here is a pic of her sitting in one...she thought this was hysterical!
This is how we found her
This is one of the Christmas presents that Emily got from her Grandad and Nana in Texas. She has been playing on it for a few weeks now...she really enjoys it. Emily will walk right up to it and get on and start bouncing. On this day, Rich was in the living room with her. She had two toys in her hand, when he picked up a third toy. She was trying to figure out how she was going to grab it, looking left and right at both of her hands, when finally she opened her mouth for him to put it there! What a nut!
After the "game" and since we had a babysitter, we decided it would just be crazy to go straight to Kimberly's house, so we went bowling. I hadn't bowled in years and I skunked Rich in two games and he skunked me in the last game! It was lots of fun and we are both suffering today...ya, we're sore from bowling!! Go figure!
Today was a bad day and I took off from work. It has been nice to just relax.
