Gentry Safari

Okay, so again I say, there is something wrong with this blog today, and I can't arrange the pics in order, so they are backwards...sorry!

Last weekend, we went to the Gentry drive-thru and petting safari in Gentry, AR. Rich and I had been one time before for my birthday 2 years ago. We thought Emily would really enjoy going because she loves animals. They have lots of animals, like zebras, a giraffe, monkeys, ostriches, an albino python, which I chose not to pet, camel, ponies, baby lions, alligators, hippos...etc etc...it is like a zoo, but instead of walking, you drive most of it! It was a beautiful day, thank goodness! First we walked through the petting area and viewing area, which you will see later, and then we drove through the safari. Here is Emily eyeing up a ....um...what is that again? ....I just went blank. Antelope?

I am teasing the Emu...he looks like he is in a cage, but he's not. He's staring me down with my goldfish!
Of course Emily had to play with the goats. These goats tried to eat her clothes, though.

Here is a Lemur...like on Madagascar. She liked her.

These animals are so tame because they are so used to people touching them. It is a good opportunity to see unique animals up close.

Here is our family pic of the day..not really sure what I was looking at....? Anyway, our newest member of the family....Kanga!

Probably the highlight of the whole trip, is always the Kangaroo area. They just hang out and you can pet them and play with them. One had a baby in it's pouch. It was cute!

When Emily petting them she would say, "Awwwww".
