Arkansas Starkeys: Happy Brithday MOM!!!!!

So, I'm WAAAAAAYY behind on updating the blog. I could give you a lot of excuses, but who really cares, right? Anyway, here's some pics from my Mom's surprise B-Day party back on

6-20-09.

I had an idea to surprise my mom and I included my brothers in on it and my Uncle Harry. After 20 different plan changes, we ended up at Uncle Harry's house, just family, due to my mom's health.

Pat was in on it too and picked mom up at her house and told her that he wanted to go for a drive. He told her just to throw on any ofd T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Here we all were, sitting at mom's waiting for them to show up, and mom was hanging out at her house...she had no plans (that she knew of) so she was in no hurry to head out on the drive. Three hours or so later.....mom and Pat were heading up the drive. Uncle Harry, Uncle Bob and Aunt Rita all sat at the kitchen table and pretended to play cards, while the rest of us hid in the bedroom. (our vehicles were at the barn) Mom came in, and we could hear that she was surprised at the decorations and the cake, but didn't seem too surprised and joined right in with conversation.(Excited about her small party, I assume) After a few minutes, Rita came in the room and got Emily and walked her out...(Skip two pictures down....)

We could hear mom saying "Emily?" "Is that you?" "Where did you come from?" She thought that my family had driven out to Fayetteville to pick her up...

And then, Rich and I walked out, camera in hand, and this is what we caught..shear shock!
