Another great day

So, Emily slept like 10 hours last night!! yay! I almost wanted to wake her up, I was nervous something was wrong. But, my better judgement got the best of me, and good thing too, because everything was ok! After breakfast, Emily got to enjoy tummy time, which Rich was excited about because he never gets to experience it. After a few minutes, this is what happened....so much for Rich getting to experience it!

Man, she was worn out, I guess! but doesn't she make you want to just sqeeze her?

While Em was taking a nap, Rich and I got ready to go to his company picnic. Somehow I managed to not get a single picture of anyone except for one of Emily in her car seat and some scenery.

Okay, so the pics don't give it justice, but it was beautiful! There were cliffs and the river runs right next to the park. We didn't take full advantage of everything it had to offer, mainly because it was so dang hot! (Probably why Emily was screaming at this point, she had had enough) Anyway, we grilled out and had burgers, dogs, brauts and chicken with all the fixins. There were other kids there, mostly just a few months to years older than Emily. It was a nice day. After the BBQ we heading down to Alma, AR for some shopping at A-Z. For those of you not familiar, they have just about anything you can think of, from A-Z hence the name, at pretty good prices. Not much luck today, though. Just a few items. We intended to meet up with one of my cousins, too, that lives in Alma for dinner, but low and behold, he was in Dallas! So, we headed back home, and Emily drove!

Okay, before you freak out, we were stopped at a gas station. I refuse to be thought of as one of those irresponsible parents that don't put their children in restraints! Either way, she had her first try at the wheel.

Obviously, we are home now. I am about to go try out my new bike, which we exchanged by the way for a different color and it is perfect! I will have to get a pic of it later so I can show it off. I need to go rough it up first, so it looks tough! :) Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend, and I'll try to capture some more fabulous moments, or some maybe not so fabulous moments later on! Again I say...yay for Emily sleeping through the night for the second time!!!! I can get used to this! ;)
