What a big girl!! Just an hour or two ago, Emily rolled over for the first time!! She isn't even three months old yet. I put her down on her quilt and she struggled for a bit. Something told me that tonight was the night. She was just so close! Finally, she just tipped herself over! Rich and I swarmed her and applauded and cheered. It was a great accomplishment!!!! Yay for Emily!
While talking to one of her teachers today when I went to pick her up, she notified me that Emily was doing many more things than other children her age. There is a particular activity mat that has toys and plastic loops hanging from it. She says that Emily will sit there and tug on the loops and hit them and do all sorts of stuff, whereas the other children just lay there. That is just one of the examples that she gave me today. I told her that our doctor had sad that she was advanced too, but actually seeing her in a setting with other kids her age, and having her surpass them with flying colors, only makes a parent prouder. We are so thrilled we her progress and couldn't be happier!
It appears that Emily may have a bit of a cold b/c she is breathing a little funny through her nose and is coughing and sneezing a bit. We may be in for the long haul tonight. I hope it is just a fluc!
Well, we are off to Branson tomorrow to spend the extended weekend with Rich's cousin, Bryan and his family. They will get to meet Emily for the first time, so we are excited to get there!
Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful labor day holiday. I will have pics to post when we get back!
